The Department provides a variety of services and supports to assist individuals in reaching their employment goals.
For individuals, staff are available to help assess their employment needs, access services and supports and to develop Employment Plans to achieve employment goals. An Employment Plan can help you with supports for planning your career, getting work ready, exploring training, looking for work, starting work and already working.
The Department also collaborates with community agencies to deliver supports and initiatives to help individuals to prepare for, attain and maintain employment, and make the transition to a new job. The intended outcome of the Community Partnerships Program is to increase self-reliance for individuals, through successful attachment to employment, education or training.
In general, the Department offers job search assistance, employment counselling and employment development supports as well as maintaining a job bank for employers and potential employees.
