The goal of the Horizons Program is to provide a comprehensive skill enhancement and work experience for youth and young adults who face barriers to employment. Through the program, youth will develop necessary workplace skills that will facilitate personal growth and independence, enabling them to compete for meaningful employment opportunities.
To qualify for the Horizons Program, participants must be between 15 and 30 years of age, in need of assistance to overcome barriers to employment, a Canadian citizen, out of school, legally entitled to work according to provincial legislation and regulations, and not in receipt of Employment Insurance benefits. Priority will be given to those applicants who self-identify as having a disability.
